Westport theater figure June Walker Rogers will speak at the Books Worth Talking About literary salon at Westport Country Playhouse on Oct. 15 before the performance of "Room Service."

Rogers, an actress, singer, dancer, director and choreographer, is also the author of "How to Make It in Showbiz (A Survival Guide)." At the salon she will discuss how theater has changed since the days when "Room Service" was first staged in the 1930s and how to survive in the business.

The salon will begin at 7 p.m. with the doors open for a wine and cheese reception at 6:45 p.m. in the Lucille Lortel White Barn Center at the playhouse.
