Joyride to hold cancer fundraiser

JoyRide Cycling Studio plans to have its second annual Kickin' Cancer! Ride & Family Fun Day, a two-hour indoor cycling fundraiser to benefit the Lynne Cohen Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research, on Sunday, May 19. It is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the studio, 1200 Post Road East.
The first of two one-hour rides will start at 11:30 a.m., followed by the second ride at 12:45 p.m., according to a news release.
Prizes such as a Joyride certificate and foundation merchandise will be given to the top individual and team fundraisers at 1:45.
The event will also include face painting, art projects, yoga and refreshments.
At last year's event, riders and supporters raised more than $35,000 for the fight against ovarian and breast cancer.
Online registration will close on Saturday, May 18, at 3 p.m.
