Joseph I. Kesselman

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Leo and Jane Kesselman. A graduate of the Townsend-Harris School of New York City, and Columbia College, he received a law degree from the Columbia School of Law.
He was a navigator in the U.S. Air Force during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the New York State and Federal bar associations and an executive with Pan Am, Kinney, Federal Pacific Electric and Kentucky Fried Chicken. He also was a director on the board of several Fortune 500 companies and held a European board position with Perrot Duval Holding Corp.
In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by three daughters, Jane Biagini and her husband Larry of Redding; Dr. Amy Kesselman Fingerhut and her husband Herbert of McLean, Va., and Nancy Roodberg and her husband David of Vienna, Va.; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Jennifer, Kaitlin, Alexandra, Zachary, Benjamin and Madeleine, and two great-grandchildren, Ashlee and Lainey.
Burial was private. A memorial service will be announced for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Columbia College, Temple Israel of Westport and Connecticut Hospice.
