Jonathan Adler, a New York City-based retailer selling home furnishings by the noted designer of the same name, recently opened its 22nd store at 166 Main St., the former longtime site of Achorn's Pharmacy.
The new 2,700-square-foot store, Adler's second in the state after a Greenwich boutique opened in 2011, features Jonathan Adler's range of home decor, furniture, rugs, tabletop collections, bedding, gifts, candles and other items, according to a release.
The Westport store also offers free in-home design consultations and programs to create custom rugs, pillows, throws and upholstery.
The space retains many of the details original to the pharmacy, including 85-year-old moldings and a "Serving Westport" sign, the release states.
Adler, the company's founder, will be at the Westport store from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, to mark the store's opening and to discuss his new book, "100 Ways to Happy Chic Your Life." Ten percent of the evening's sales will benefit the Westport Arts Center.
