Lazer Lloyd, an Israeli blues, rock and folk guitarist, singer and songwriter, will anchor a night of entertainment Thursday, Nov. 13, beginning at 7 p.m. at Chabad of Westport. Performing with Lloyd will be the Balkun Brothers, a Hartford group featuring bassist Caleb Battersby and drummer Nick Balkun.

Lloyd's music is influenced by blues, gospel, southern rock as well as guitarists Jimi Hendrix and Wes Montgomery, Chabad said.

Also featured at the event, dubbed Chabad's House of Blues Couples Night Out, will be Cajun food from restaurants the South, Kosher Jambalaya, and Beer and Scotch.

Tickets for the event, at 79 Newtown Turnpike, are $54 per person and are available at www.chabadofwestport.com or by calling 203-226-8584.

"Hopefully I can help release some pain from someone's heart, make them feel good," Lloyd said in a news release. "I think blues in all its forms, continues to generate a devoted following because it's real, it's about everyone's life story and it heals."
