WESTPORT — Westporters not only built the town Sunday afternoon, but built community as well.

The Westport Historical Society hosted a “Come Build Westport—One Lego at a Time” event in Christ & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church’s Branson Hall. Families spent together time building replicas of historic buildings from around town.

“We’re want to make people aware of the architectural heritage of their community,” said Stephen Schwartz, an architect who runs New Jersey-based Building Blocks Workshops with his wife, Bunny.

Historic selections for Lego construction included Town Hall, Toquet Opera House, and of course the historical society’s home Wheeler House.
