WESTPORT — Despite a snowy Saturday, artists and supporters bid a spirited adieu to “Art to the Max.”

The art and artifact show at the Westport Historical Society featured items related to Max’s Art Supplies, a downtown indy store that, for close to half a century, catered to the creative needs of Westport’s art community.

“It was a family-owned store that really epitomized the small town of Westport,” said Susan Gold, WHS executive director. “We feel it’s an important part of Westport’s legacy.”
