WESTPORT — For the sixth year in a row the sounds of the seashore mingled with the crack of shellfish at the Rotary Club of Westport’s annual LobsterFest at Compo Beach on Saturday afternoon.

Around 1,500 people chose surf or turf in the mega-fundraiser, which raised somewhere in the neighborhood of $50,000 for a range of charitable causes, both local and international.

For the price of admission diners enjoyed steak or lobster, corn, slaw, dessert, and all the beer and wine they wanted.
