The Bridgeport Hospital Foundation, a co-beneficiary of the Fairfield County Hunt Club June Horse Show, received $75,000 in proceeds from the event.

The foundation, a first-time beneficiary of the show, will use the funds to support hospital programs and services, according to its announcement.

The Equus Foundation, which has had a longtime relationship with the hunt club, was the other beneficiary of the show.

More than 80 people attended a June 18 hunt club reception hosted by the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation during the Terex Jumper Stake.

“It was exciting for us to be a part of the Fairfield County Hunt Club Horse Show for the first time,” Steve Jakab, the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation president, said in the statement. “This is a prestigious, nationally recognized equestrian event, featuring riders from around the world.”

The Bridgeport Hospital Foundation’s relationship with the horse show was fostered by Raymond Condon and Dr. Robert Stanton, two hunt club members who are also on the foundation board of trustees.
