A Stamford woman working as a home-health aide in Westport has been accused of stealing art works worth more than $41,000 from the home.
Grace Kinda, 33, was charged with first-degree larceny last Friday after surrendering to police on a warrant issued for her arrest.
Kinda, according to the report, stole "numerous works of art" -- with total value of $41,500 -- while working as a health aide in the home of a Westport resident. She is charged with stealing 11 works in total, including seven original paintings, three prints and one lithograph.
All of the stolen art work was recovered in New York, police said, with the cooperation of Kinda.
Kinda is scheduled to appear March 24 in Stamford Superior Court.
