Holiday humor on tap in 'Seasons Readings'

Play With Your Food has scheduled its second annual holiday program, "Seasons Readings," at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 in the Westport Woman's Club, 44 Imperial Ave.

The show includes five segments, and an eggnog and dessert reception will follow.

The vignettes include:

"The Land of Sweets, in which a slightly deranged ballet mistress rehearses her young charges in "The Nutcracker."

"How to Read a Christmas Story," in which Ann Patchett recounts a memory of her father.

"Santaland," in which David Sedaris tells a torturous tale of working as an elf.

"Ring Our Wild Bells," in which Wolcott Gibbs gives an account of another holiday production.

"Going Home," in which Matt Hoverman explores the pull between past disasters and present possibilities."
