Historical Society to tour town with '06880' blogger

The Westport Historical Society will host a World of Woog Bus Tour of Westport with "06880" blogger and Westport News columnist Dan Woog from 1 to 3 p.m. May 5. Participants should meet at the society, 25 Avery Place, at 12:45 p.m.
Woog will explain why there are cannons on Compo Beach, where F. Scott Fitzgerald lived during an infamous summer in Westport, who folks like Bedford, Coley and Staples were and other interesting facts. He will also share stories about the wharves of the Saugatuck River, islands like Gorham and Cockenoe and other tales.
