Health-care trends talk at Sunrise Rotary

Westport Sunrise Rotary will host a talk on "Trends in Healthcare Today" at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 23, at its weekly meeting in Bobby Q's Bodacious Bar & Grill, 42 Main St.
Michael R. Marks, M.D., Norwalk Hospital's vice president of business development, will discuss trends and changes in the delivery of health care, as well as accessibility to medical care and the importance of coordinated care. He will also focus on the importance of preventive medicine and health education to reduce chronic illness and disease.
Marks, a Westport resident, is also president of Fairfield County Medical Services, a subsidiary of Norwalk Hospital that employs the majority of the hospital's staff physicians.
Guests are welcome to the breakfast. There is a $12 fee for the meeting which includes a breakfast buffet.
