A concert by “the Dueling Guitar Duo” will take place Sunday at the Westport Library.

The free performance by acoustic guitarists Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo is set for 2 p.m.

Vignola and Raniolo “create unique, intense and beautiful arrangements of familiar and beloved songs,” according to library publicity for the concert. “Their dynamic genre-spanning music has brought them to the world’s most illustrious venues ...”

Their PBS special, "Four Generations of Guitars," premiered in the 2014-15 season as part of the series "Music Gone Public," where they are joined by guests, guitarists Bucky Pizzarelli and Tommy Emmanuel along with violinist Joe Craven.

Although both guitarists have been influenced by great jazz guitarists, according to the publicity, they are not a jazz guitar duo. A typical performance encompasses a range of musical styles, including Bach, Mozart and Beethoven mixed with Ellington and Waller, Gershwin and Carmichael, as well as Bob Marley, Lennon and McCartney, and Sting.
