The Greens Farms Garden Club's 29th annual perennial-plant sale is Saturday, May 18, at the Sherman Green Gazebo in downtown Fairfield.

The sale is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the green at Post and Reef roads.

Hundreds of home-grown perennials of many types will be on sale, as well as a selection of plants, shrubs and flowers that attract birds.

Also for sale will be long-blooming and Knock Out roses, garden- and bird-related items and gardening gloves. Club members will be on hand to answer gardening questions.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the club's garden therapy, philanthropic activities and civic-beautification projects such as the Victorian Cottage gardens at Fairfield Town Hall.
