The day-long Super Bowl pre-game festivities Sunday spilled over from the Meadowlands all the way to Westport.

The community tailgate party, hosted indoors once again at the Westport Center for Senior Activities, offered food and fun in anticipation of the clash between the Broncos and Seahawks later that evening.

In keeping with the athletic theme of the gathering, on hand to greet attendees were players from the Westport Little League 2013 New England champions, the Wreckers Little League softball state champions and the Staples High School football team, as well as the Staples and P.A.L. cheerleading squads.

Among the other attendees were First Selectman Jim Marpe, town Human Services Director Barbara Butler and state Rep. Jonathan Steinberg.

A highlight was the recognition of Carol Fisher with a "Service to Seniors Award."
