Westport Republicans can cast ballots Wednesday in a caucus to choose members of the local Republican Town Committee.

Caucuses of registered Republicans will take place in the town's nine voting districts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Desiree Soli, the RTC chairwoman.

However, the caucuses set for Districts 4 and 5 Republicans at Greens Farms Elementary School have been moved to Town Hall because the school has been closed since Monday for repairs to a burst fire sprinkler pipe.

"Because of the water problem at Greens Farms there was no space for us to hold the caucuses there," said Kevin White, the GOP registrar of voters.

Instead, White said, District 4 Republicans will caucus in Town Hall's Room 307 and District 5 in Room 102, he added.

Other locations for the RTC caucuses are:

District 1: Saugatuck Elementary School, in the cafeteria.

District 2: Saugatuck Elementary School, in the auditorium.

District 3: Coleytown Middle School, in the cafeteria.

District 6: Long Lots Elementary School, in the cafeteria.

District 7: Long Lots Elementary School, in the auditorium.

District 8: Coleytown Middle School, in the auditorium.

District 9: Westport Town Hall, Room 309.

All registered Republicans are eligible to participate in the caucus of their home district.
