Westport Public Library will host a panel discussion with four designers under 30 years old from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.
The panelists will include Chandler Noah, Annabel Armstrong, Ben Bangser and Nicholas Fjellberg Swerdlowe, who will also moderate the talk. They will discuss their paths to successful careers, according to a news release.
Swerdlowe is a Norwegian-American industrial designer working for Coach in New York City. Last year, he won the International Design Sense Competition with his entry "The Sense Space."
Noah is a New York City-based interior designer. In September 2012, Chandler joined the design team of Yabu Pushelberg, whose hospitality projects include Barney's New York and One Madison Park in New York.
Armstrong operates her own women's clothing line, The Mudroom Closet. Last year, she received the Savannah College of Art and Design's Sirlin Award for most outstanding women's wear collection, the release states.
Bangser, a Westport native, is an industrial designer, toy developer and sculptor. He works as an industrial designer at Product Ventures, a Fairfield brand strategy and design consultancy that designs products and packaging for household brands.
Networking and light refreshments will follow the talk, which is free and open to the public.
The event, rescheduled due to the Feburary blizzard, will be streamed live on Cablevision Channel 79 and Ustream TV.
