WESTPORT — Within 24 hours, the temperature in Westport swung from a high of 60 to a low of 15.

Unseasonably-warm weather on Feb. 8 had joggers and Frisbee enthusiasts enjoying the weather at Sherwood Island State Park.

The next day, white-out conditions blanketed downtown Westport. The snowstorm Feb. 9 dumped about a foot of snow on the ground, closing schools and forcing many Westporters to spend the day indoors.

Only a couple of days later, more snow was added to the already-shoveled piles. A wintry mix of snow, rain and freezing rain fell through the area on Feb. 12, making a mess for some but more fun in the snow for others.
