A fitness fundraiser sponsored by Aspire Fitness and Downunder Kayaking July 8 raised $1,685 for Save the Children, Aspire Fitness officials said.
The fundraiser included three events: A cross-fitness drill, core fitness drill and a paddleboarding segment on the Saugatuck River, Aprire said in a news release.
The money raised by the event was eligible for four times the amount in matching funds from Save The Children's US AID matching gift fund, bringing the total to $6,140, according to the release.
