The Friends of the Weston Public Library will present "I Have Seen the Future," a documentary on the 1939 World's Fair, 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at the library, 56 Norfield Road.

The film aims to show how the fair led America and the world down a road of mass consumerism and a future dependent on the motorcar and the fuel to keep it going.

Lisa Seidenberg, the film's director, will be available to talk with attendees after the film. Seidenberg, a recipient of several grants, commissions and festival awards, is a two-time winner of the Artist Fellowship Award in Film/Video from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism and CEC/Partners grant.

Reservations are not required for the free event, but attendees are requested to email the Friends of Weston Library at friendsofthewestonlibrary@gmail.com before arriving.
