Fay S. Hubbard, of Nantucket, Mass., a former longtime Weston resident, died Sept. 4. She was the wife of Phillip H. Hubbard, to whom she was married for 59 years.

Born April 3, 1931, in Elmira, N.Y., she graduated from Stephen College. She was interested in the arts, was a seamstress and quilter and wove lightship baskets. Several of her baskets are in the Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Charles L. Stevens 3rd and his wife Margaret of Tampa, Fla.; three sons, Philip and wife Denise of Redding, Steven and wife Karin of Bethel and Stuart and wife Tracy of Newtown; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service had been planned Tuesday, Sept. 13, in Nantucket.
