Farm market deadline today for Thanksgiving food orders

The Westport Farmers' market will be taking orders today (Thursday, Nov. 15) for a variety of fresh organic foods -- including turkeys -- that will be available for pickup the day before Thanksgiving.

The market said 11 vendors will offer various organic foods, including turkeys, chickens, beef, vegetables, breads, pastas, teas, cheese and other dairy products, plus appetizers and desserts.

The market at the commuter parking lot on Imperial Avenue will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Turkeys must be ordered in advance, and Wednesday is the last day to order one.

Orders placed during that market may be picked up at a special market planned Wednesday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
