FLORENCE M. PADULA

Florence M. Padula, 84, died March 6, 2010, surrounded by her family. ]

She was a life-long Southport resident. Prior to her retirement, she was a timekeeper at McKessons and Robbins for more than 46 years. Padula was a member of the St. Thomas Women's Guild.

She is survived by her brother and his spouse, Andrew and Sue Padula of Westport; her three sisters, Molly Padula of Southport, Katherine Seaman and her husband, Donald Sr. of Easton, and Carol Padula of Southport; a niece, Andrea E. Padula of Westport; and two nephews, James R. Padula and his wife, Colleen of Riverside, and John W. Padula of Fairfield.

She was predeceased by her sister, Lena Padula Stillman, and her brother, James Padula.

The family would especially like to thank her caregiver, Ruby Scott, for the compassion and care she provided.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, March 10, leaving the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield, at 9:20 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church; interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. The family greeted friends Tuesday in the funeral home.
