The Optical Shop of Westport, an eyewear boutique established two decades ago, plans to move from 190 Main St. to 420 Post Road West, on Saturday, June 1.

The new 1,200-square-foot store, owned by Margharet Hollander, is 400 square feet larger than the old shop. Both venues will be closed from Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, to accommodate the move.

To celebrate the new store's opening, Hollander will hold an eyeglass drive to benefit "New Eyes for the Needy," a nonprofit that distributes eyeglasses for free to hospitals, clinics and medical missions around the world.

Used eyeglasses and donation checks to "New Eyes for the Needy" will be accepted at the new shop from Saturday, June 1, through Saturday, June 15. Donors will be entered into a drawing to win one pair of prescription glasses and one pair of sun or sport glasses, courtesy of the store.

The Optical Shop hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and closed Sunday.
