A former Coleytown Middle School principal has co-authored a teen novel that aims to reduce obesity in young people.

The novel, "No," was written by Doug Dwyer, the Coleytown principal from from 1994 to 1997, and Jane Pentz, a nutritionist and business executive, according to a news release issued by Pentz. Dwyer now lives in Florida.

"No" deals with obesity and related diseases in young children, according to the release. Its aim is for young people to say "no" to unhealthy cafeteria meals, takeout dinners and vending-machine snack food.
