Born on July 20, 1930, in Wedel, Germany, she immigrated to the United States in 1954 and became an American citizen in 1961.
She and her husband owned Widmann's Bakery in Greenwich, and after retiring from the bakery in 1978, they began operating Stover's Christmas Tree Farm in Stone Ridge N.Y.
Survivors, in addition to her husband of 59 years, include a daughter, Angela Stover Hinchcliff and her husband, Dick, of Westport; a son, Ron Stover and his wife, Cecilia Fabrizio, of Hong Kong; a sister, Elke Behrmann of Wedel, Germany, and three grandchildren, Chris, Emily and Jessy.
Calling hours will take place Friday, Jan. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Knapp's Funeral Home, 267 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich, followed by a memorial service.
