A Westport woman wanted by Norwalk police was stopped by a patrol officer Saturday afternoon after he spotted her in the vicinity of 1175 Post Road East, police said.

The officer confirmed the Norwalk arrest warrant and searched the vehicle driven by the woman, 23-year-old Lindsey Reed of Post Road East. He discovered two prescription bottles with the labels removed in the vehicle's glove compartment, police said. One bottle contained 60 Trazodone pills, an antidepressant, and the other bottle held 20 pills of Cetirizine, an antihistamine.

Reed was charged with possession of a controlled substance (narcotics) and released on a promise to appear Nov. 16 in court on that charge. She was then turned over to the Norwalk Police Department on the outstanding warrant.
