Jose Burgos, 22, of Norwalk, faces a drug charge after he was stopped May 24 while driving south on Interstate 95 in Westport because police said his vehicle's windows were tinted too darkly, police said.
When he was stopped, an officer smelled "an odor of marijuana" inside Burgos' vehicle, police said. Burgos told the officer there was marijuana in the center console, police said. A search of the vehicle "further produced significantly more marijuana," police added.
Burgos was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He was released on $500 bond and was scheduled to appear May 31 in Norwalk Superior Court.
