A New Haven man faces drug charges following a motor vehicle stop last Tuesday.

Julian Cintron, 35, of Chatham Street, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possessing a narcotic that wasn't in the original container.

After Cintron was stopped by police, officers saw evidence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle, according to a police report.

During the course of the investigation, police saiad they found that Cintron had an oxycodone pill for which he didn't have a prescription.

Bond was set at $2,500 and he is scheduled to appear April 30 at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
