Cassandra Devingo, 23, of Norwalk, was charged early Friday with driving under the influence.
As Devingo drove west on Post Road East near the Sherwood Island Connector, she drifted between lanes, police said. When she was stopped, an officer detected a "distinct odor" of alcohol from the vehicle, police said. Devingo also failed a field-sobriety test, police said.
Devingo was charged with operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol and failure to drive in the proper lane. She was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear May 22 in Norwalk Superior Court.
During the investigation of the same incident, Dennis Feldmann, 22, of Norwalk, was also arrested. Feldmann, who was a passenger in Devingo's vehicle, interfered with the officer's investigation during the stop and became "combative," police said.
Feldmann was charged with interfering with an officer and released on $500 bond. He is scheduled to appear May 22 in Norwalk Superior Court.
