Get high on Westport, or least gain an appreciation of how the town looks from on high.

A display of 48 aerial photos of Westport taken by Larry Untermeyer, the staff photographer of the Westport Historical Society, has been mounted at Westport Town Hall

The photos, hanging on the wall across from Rooms 206-208, were taken by Untermeyer last June and November. They previously were exhibited at the historical society. He took the photos from a Cessna 182 plane owned and piloted by Westporter Chuck Tannen.

The images show Westport from every point on the compass, as well as changes that have taken place over the course of time. They recently were hung for the Town Hall display by Untermeyer and Ellen Naftalin, the Westport Historical Society exhibit director.

Untermeyer has worked more than 50 years in the fields of broadcasting, public relations and advertising, and traveled extensively around the world for his work.
