Cops: Man had heroin in car

A Fairfield man faces narcotics charges after a traffic stop Tuesday on North Compo Road.
Joseph Diaz, 30, of Lakeview Drive in Fairfield, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with the incident.
According to police, Diaz’s car was pulled over about 5 p.m. Tuesday and, “in plain view along the driver’s door two wax paper folds of narcotic material” was seen by the officer.
After a search of the vehicle, police said they found six full folds of heroin and empty heroin folds.
Bond was set at $2,500 and he is scheduled to appear Sept. 4 at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
