An Easton man was arrested after he allegedly tried to flee the scene after his car struck another vehicle last week.
John Sullivan, 21, of Jesse Lee Drive, Easton, was charged with driving while intoxicated, evading responsibility and failure to travel a reasonable distance apart at 12:49 a.m. Saturday.
Sullivan was arrested after another driver reported that his car had struck her vehicle and that Sullivan was attempting to flee the scene, according to the police report.
"Upon approaching his vehicle, officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Sullivan," the report states. "Sullivan was administered and failed roadside sobriety tests."
He was scheduled to appear July 15 in Norwalk Superior Court.
