A New York man was charged with selling illegal drugs Saturday afternoon when police said he was found with a large cache of marijuana and money in the parking lot of the Westport Weston Health District.

The man -- later identified as Boku Prince, 48, of Pound Ridge, N.Y. -- was spotted by Officer David Scinto a little after 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the health district's Bayberry Lane parking lot.

Officer James Loomer and the department's K-9, Koda, were called to the scene, and according to the report, found more than five pounds of marijuana and more than $12,000 in cash in Prince's car.

Prince was taken into custody and charged with sale of illegal drugs and possession of a hallucinogen / marijuana, police said.

He was released after posting a $40,000 bond and is scheduled to appear June 18 in Norwalk Superior Court.
