A Florida man has been charged with stealing a "luxury" sport fishing boat from Westport relatives.

Giuseppe Boccanfuso, 26, of Hallandale Beach, Fla., was arrested July 30 after what police called a lengthy investigation and charged with first-degree larceny and three counts of second-degree forgery.

He was taken into custody by Westport police after he had returned to Connecticut.

Bond was set at $250,000 and he is scheduled to Aug. 13 in Norwalk Superior Court.
