Two out-of-town residents face shoplifting charges after an incident Sunday at the CVS pharmacy on Post Road East.

Eric Harris, of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., and Jessica Powling, of Enfield, both 31, were both charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police received a report around 6 p.m. Sunday that thermometers were stolen from the store and the suspects had left the scene.

A description of the suspects’ vehicle and license plate was broadcast to police units, and the vehicle was located in Parker Harding Plaza.

In plain view inside the car, police said, was the merchandise stolen from CVS, and the two suspects were taken into custody, according to police.

Powling was released on a promise to appear July 6 at Superior Court in Norwalk, while bond for Harris was set at $1,000 for the same court date.
