The Westport Public Library will host a talk by cookbook author Katie Workman on her new book, "The Mom 100 Cookbook," at noon Thursday, May 10, in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

Workman will discuss how to make an entree with whatever is in the fridge and prepare food for the child or spouse who always rejects salad. She will also talk about recipes, demonstrate several vinaigrette recipes and offer samples for tasting.

Workman is founding editor-in-chief of Cookstr.com. She writes about food and cooking for websites and magazines, including the Huffington Post, the Daily Beast and New York magazine.

Books will be available for purchase and signing. Call 203-291-4800 or visit westportlibrary.org.
