A showcase for vintage vehicles and a rally of classic cars is promised by organizers of Concours d’Caffeine when it returns to Westport on Oct. 4.

The automotive showcase — first staged in Westport in May — is planned from 8 to 11 a.m. on Railroad Place next to the Saugatuck railroad station. The display will include classic and collectible cars from the 1920s and 1930s, as well as “special vehicles rarely seen in public” from several eras, according to publicity for the event. Several area car clubs will be represented with members’ vehicles.

The first 40 to register on the group’s website, concoursdcaffeine.com, will participate in a 50-mile “mini rally” through the region, with a planned lunch stop. Entrance to the event will be from Park Street, through Luciano Park.
