A Norwalk man helping to cater a family gathering at a Maple Avenue North home in July is accused of stealing a resident’s $30,000 Rolex watch during the party.
Jonathan Farkas, 35, was charged with first-degree larceny Tuesday after turning himself in on a warrant that had been issued for his arrest.
The watch was reported missing from a second-floor bedroom following the party.
Based on the police investigation, according to the report, Farkas was an “independent contractor” with the catering service for the event, and was not related to the party hosts. During the course of the investigation, police said the Rolex was recovered and Farkas allegedly admitted taking it.
Bond was set at $30,000 and he is scheduled to appear Aug. 20 at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
