The Northeast Children's Theatre Company, a Westport-based professional theater company for young audiences, will feature local talent and New York personalities at its Inaugural Gala.
The gala, "Broadway in Connecticut," is set for Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Fairfield Theatre Company, where the children's theater company is currently in residence.
The night features Broadway stars Tituss Burgess, who performed on Broadway in "The Little Mermaid" and "Guys and Dolls"; Leslie Kritzer, from "Elf" and "Legally Blonde"; and Adam Guettel, composer/lyricist of "The Light in the Piazza."
"As someone who grew up in Westport, I'm ecstatic that we'll be able to have such incredible talent from the Fairfield and Westport area join our New York performers on stage," NCTC Executive Director Tyler Paul said.
The concert begins at 8 p.m. at the StageOne theater, 70 Sanford St., Fairfield. Tickets are $50. VIP tickets, which include a pre-show reception at 7 p.m., are $80. There also will be a live auction, including an African safari for two and VIP passes for a Broadway show.
Proceeds will benefit the company's educational outreach programming, which includes school drama workshops and touring performances for disadvantaged children.
