Brazilian trio slated at Voices Cafe

An American and Brazilian trio, Sambeleza, will perform Saturday, June 21 at the Voices Cafe. The concert to celebrate the summer solstice will begin at 8 p.m.

The musicians of Sambeleza are Joe Carter on guitar, Jeff Fuller on bass, and Isabella Mendes, a native of São Paulo, on keyboards and vocals. They will be joined for this performance by two native Brazilian musicians, Ze Mauricio on percussion, and Adriano Santos on drums, and special guest Ali Ryerson on flute.

Voice Cafe, at the Unitarian Church in Westport, offers cafe tables and dancing. Light refreshments and drinks will be sold. Proceeds from Voices Cafe, an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, support the Social Action Committees of the Unitarian Church in Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road.

Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and are available at www.wpkn.org, at www.voicescafe.org/buy-tickets, or by calling 203-331-9756.
