Westport Public Library will host author Lucette Lagnado 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

Lagnado will discuss her new memoir, "The Arrogant Years: One Girl's Search for Her Lost Youth, from Cairo to Brooklyn." The book follows Lagnado's first memoir, "The Man in the White Sharkskin Suit."

Born in Cairo, Lagnado and her family were forced to flee Egypt as refugees after Abdel Nasser's rise to power in 1952, eventually ending up in New York, according to a release from the library. She graduated from Vassar College, and works as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal.

The program is free.
