Augusta Butcher Brennan

Augusta Butcher Brennan, formerly of Westport and Weston, wife of 61 years of the recently deceased Frank G. Brennan, died March 28 in Wallingford.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Isaiah and Augusta Butcher. Before her marriage, she was one of the first female credit investigators for the then-Chase National Bank. She enjoyed traveling and playing bridge.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Brennan of Fairfield; a son Frank G. Brennan, Jr. and his wife Marie of Redding; three grandchildren, Sean Driscoll and his wife Heather of Trumbull, Kelly Goguen and her husband Tim of Wellington, Fla., and Eilise Brennan of Redding; a great-grandchild, Blythe Goguen of Wellington, Fla.; her sisters Dorothy Maffet of Lemoyne, Pa., Viola Pomeroy of Center Moriches, N.Y., and Mildred McHugh of Bayport, N.Y., and a brother, Hermance Butcher of Floral Park, N.Y., and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Marjorie Giarraputo and brothers Richard, Theodore and Harold Butcher.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, April 4, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road, Fairfield. Burial at a later date will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Calling hours are Sunday, April 3, from 3 to 6 p.m., in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
