The Ardelia Trio, a chamber group of violin, cello and piano, will perform in Westport on Sunday, May 19, at a "house concert" sponsored by the Connecticut Alliance for Music.
The 3 p.m. concert at the home of Myra and Paul Goldberg is open to the public, but reservations are required.
Tickets are $25 and include a post-concert reception with the musicians. The alliance sponsors concerts in private homes so attendees can experience professional performances in an intimate and informal setting.
The Ardelia Trio's repertoire ranges from the Baroque to commissioned works by contemporary composers. The group has performed in the U.S., Canada, Central America, England Italy, Japan and South Korea.
The musicians -- violinist Janey Choi, cellist Clara Yang and pianist Jihea Hong-Park -- all are of Korean heritage and trained at the Juilliard School. Venues in which they have performed include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Royal Albert Hall and top venues in Asia.
The Westport concert is dedicated to the late Dr. Leon Tec, a long-time alliance member and founder of its annual Leon Tec Showcase for Young Musicians.
For tickets, call the Connecticut Alliance for Music at 203-319-8271. The venue address will be given with confirmed reservations.
