ANDREW WHITE

Andrew White, 60, of Fairfield, husband of Deborah Ekstrom White, died March 10, 2010, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, in the company of his family.

Andy, as he was known, was born Jan. 5, 1950, in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., a son of the late Roger and Martha White. A resident of Fairfield for the past 32 years, he was an electrician in New York with Local No. 3.

White was an avid golfer and his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Vogue (DE-1047) in Newport, R.I.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of 37 years, include one daughter, Abigail K. Barzottini and her husband, David of Stratford; two sons, Casey A. White of New York City and Bryan A. White and his wife, Sarah of Trumbull; one sister, Martha Keating of Sherrills Ford, N.C.; one brother, Roger White of Lexington, Mass.; three grandchildren, Grace, Jonathan and Elizabeth Barzottini of Stratford; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road E., Westport, on Sunday, March 14, from 2 to 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 15, at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield; interment will be private.
