Ten days after Tropical Storm Irene ripped through the region, knocking out power to hundreds of thousands in the state -- 73 percent of Westport was in the dark at the peak of the storm -- Connecticut Light & Power reports early Wednesday that power has been fully restored in Westport and Weston.

Over the course of the last few days, the number of power outages fluctuated among customers in both towns as repair crews had to shut off power in some areas to completely restore service in other neighborhoods.

There are a total of 12,356 customers in Westport and 3,807 in Weston.
