SHELTON — Police on Sunday arrested Mark Lindsey, 47, of Stratford, charging him with three counts of burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief, criminal attempt at larceny and larceny in the fifth degree.
The arrest stems from a joint investigation with Stratford, Fairfield, Trumbull and Shelton police departments. Stratford detectives developed Lindsey as a burglary suspect in multiple Fairfield county towns. There may be another arrest in the case, too.
A Stratford detective was conducting surveillance on Lindsey early Sunday, during which the suspect was, according to police, caught in the act of burglarizing the Family Health Care building, 330 Bridgeport Ave., Shelton.
Police say that was also learned that Lindsey was responsible for burglaries at office buildings at 680 and 1077 Bridgeport Ave. during the early morning hours.
The investigation is still open and one or more additional arrests are expected in the case.
Lindsey is being held on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Derby Superior court on Monday.
