Westport's quest for the Little League World Series is down to one game.

Unbeaten and top-seeded Westport will face No. 3 Lincoln, R.I., in the New England regional championship game on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Bristol's Breen Field. The game will be televised on ESPN.

The winner will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa., which begins Aug. 15. The New England champion will open that night against the Southeast region champion at Lamade Stadium.

Westport manager Tim Rogers knows his team will be ready to play.

"I think they'll be loose. They've been loose all year long," Rogers said on Thursday. "They don't let it get to them. I wish they would be a little more intense."

Right-hander Harry Azadian earned the win for Westport on the mound, tossing 4 2/3 scoreless innings in a 68-pitch effort. Max Popken socked a two-run homer for the all-stars.

Rhode Island, 4-1 in the regional, 13-1 overall, advanced with a 5-2 win over South Burlington, Vt., the No. 2 seed, in Thursday's other semifinal.

"We showed our heart today," Rhode Island manager Matthew Netto said following the semifinal win. "I talked the last three days about playing with emotion and leaving your heart on the field. I kept reminding them through the game."

Westport and Rhode Island are the lone teams to have not faced each other at this summer's regional.

Rhode Island ace Kyle Marrapese threw 87 pitches in the semifinal win, leaving him unavailable to pitch in the championship. The left-hander allowed two runs and struck out 12 in 51/3 innings. Netto, however, said Lincoln has other options to turn to on the mound.

"We've got everyone eligible except for Kyle, which, most people would say, `Oh your ace is blown.' No, we've got two or three," Netto said. "We've got a couple aces."
