A host of varied art classes is on the 2011 schedule at the Westport Center for Senior Activities, 21 Imperial Ave.

Darraugh Cianfichi, Kyra Avalotis, Tom Scippa, Barbara Lawless, Lisa Arnold, Mercedes Arensberg and Chris Goldbach are just a few of the instructors who will lead classes.

Stamping 101: Each class is designed to help anyone create five cards. All materials will be supplied. The classes take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Jan. 5, Feb. 2 and March 2. The cost is $5 per class.

Drawing, Sketching, Painting for Everyone: Class projects will range from still life to portraits. The class will take place on Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 6 to March 31. The cost: $39.

Saturday Studio: Attendees will be allowed to work on new techniques or perfect skills. The class will take place on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Jan. 8 to March 26. The cost is $33.

Exploring Still life in Deferent Mediums: Participants will draw and paint all types of arrangements ranging from floral to classic still life. The class will take place on Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m. on Jan. 14 to March 25. The cost is $33.

Knit One -- Nibble One: Attendees will knit healing shawls for women diagnosed with cancer. A tote bag with yarn, needles, directions and a gift of Nelle's Nibbles is included. The class will take place on Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 11 to March 29. The cost for materials is $25.
